For those of you that have slept for the last 3-4 years, you really need a wakeup call – cloud computing is here! I’ve been following the VMware “Horizon” products family for some time now and it’s pretty cool and in my opinion, will set the the tone in VMworld 2012 this summer in San Francisco and Barcelona. This new upcoming line of cloud based products includes lots of new features which I will try to cover some of them in this post.
Although it was released last September I thought it would be useful to share with you the latest PowerCLI poster which can help system administrators to start exploring the PowerCLI scripting world. If you aren’t familiar with PowerCLI I suggest you to start doing some digging so you can use and understand my upcoming scripts which will be release in future posts. Well, got this email from VMware this morning: “Dear Lior Kamrat, Thank you for your interest in the VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Datacenter Administration program! You have met the prerequisites and are now authorized to take this exam. To schedule this exam, please contact Pearson VUE. Hi there, While configuring bunch of Citrix XenApp farms and Microsoft remote desktop farms in a vSphere based environment I came across the annoying collision between VMware Tools Shared Folders feature and the roaming profile mechanism.
