Although this is #4 for me, I’m still excited to see my name on this list. I said it before and I will say it again – The vCommunity is AWESOME!
WOW, 2015 is finally over and what a year it was! Saying this was probably the hardest year in my career will be an understatement. They say that without knowing your past you don’t know where you are going… so let’s recap. I’ve started the year as a member of VMware’s Professional Services. Had lot’s of fun, met great friends and eventually decided to move on. The next stop was Amdocs where I started as a Principal Cloud Architect – we will get back to that in a minute. Between VMware and Amdocs there was a little thing called VCDX. No doubt, that took the best of me but the work is not over yet as my [Read More]
Wow, 3rd year in a row being honored with the vExpert award! The vCommunity is such a beautiful thing and for me personally it has opened several career and personal opportunities in this past 3 years.
The 2014 VMware vExpert list was published last night and I’m so honored and humbled to be on that list for the second time in a row. This year’s list has total of 754 members including quite a few new members as well. Being part of the vCommunity is a big deal for me! When I started this blog two years ago it was because I wanted to give back to the community that helped me so much during the years. Only the people who are part of it know how much special it is. On that note I would [Read More]
So, the annual vSphere-land.com (sponsored by Veeam) “Best Virtualization Blog” results are out and I happy to say that I achieved my goal to enter the top 100. This has being great blogging year for me and these kind of achievements make me blogging even more (not that I need the motivation ) I’m also very happy for my good buddy and VMware colleague Sunny Due over at http://vxpresss.blogspot.in/ who became a father to a new sweet baby boy and for making a UGH 123 places jump straight to the #28 spot – WOW To finish this one out I would [Read More]
So, the annual vSphere-land.com (sponsored by Veeam) “Best Virtualization Blog” voting is now open. This will be the first I’m attempting to enter this distinguished bloggers list and I hope I will be able to leave a mark. If you feel I deserved your vote and I was able to help you with some of my posts please make sure to cast your vote for my blog, it will take no longer then 10min. If you don’t think I deserve it, well, that’s also fine but still take the time to show your appreciation to the VMware community bloggers, we [Read More]
After using VMware products for the last 8 years, from Workstation through GSX to vCloud and beyond, I’m excited and very humble that the “mothership” noticed my work here on earth and called me to her service. I will be starting July this year in VMware Israel Professional Services group as a PSO consultant. After filling the role of Better Place virtualization infrastructure architect for almost 3-years and doing VMware consulting projects for several companies in Israel, it is the time for me to move to the next big thing. Working for VMware was a dream of mine for the [Read More]
Well, got this email from VMware this morning: “Dear Lior Kamrat, Thank you for your interest in the VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Datacenter Administration program! You have met the prerequisites and are now authorized to take this exam. To schedule this exam, please contact Pearson VUE. It can be scheduled online or by phone.” For those of you who are not familiar with VMware advanced exams they are pretty hard to pass and include working on live servers and not just answering multiple-choice questions. I guess all I need now to become VCAP4-DCA is to schedule the exam (i’m thinking sometime in July), [Read More]
