This week I had the pleasure of presenting a vBrownBag around “Infrastructure as Code Getting Started, Concepts & Tools”. It is a cool topic that is dear to my heart so I thought why not spread the love.
In my continuing journey to become more of an “Automation, APIs and DevOps” kinda architect, I try to find or come up with cool “pet projects” for myself. This time, I did a nice an easy Terraform VMware vSphere Provider and Slack integration using webhooks.
Slack is hot! I see it with customers, me and my wife teams are using it (she work as a java developer at eBay BTW), and I also starting to see it in traditional IT. I also love vROps so I thought to myself, hey, why not leverage Slack to display vROps alerts and make collaboration more efficient?!
Lately I’ve been playing around with Azure DevTest labs. This is a great way for provisioning rapidly deployed policy-driven environments in Azure for developers, testing, QA, DevOps and other teams in the organization.
