WOW, 2015 is finally over and what a year it was! Saying this was probably the hardest year in my career will be an understatement.
They say that without knowing your past you don’t know where you are going… so let’s recap.
I’ve started the year as a member of VMware’s Professional Services. Had lot’s of fun, met great friends and eventually decided to move on. The next stop was Amdocs where I started as a Principal Cloud Architect – we will get back to that in a minute.
Between VMware and Amdocs there was a little thing called VCDX. No doubt, that took the best of me but the work is not over yet as my second shot is still ahead of me. If you want to read more about my first shot experience, check out my 3-part series around it.
I’ve been working with VMware tech since the very first version of Workstation and made a career out of this great company products and solutions. As part of the changes coming upon me in 2016 (moving to a new house included 🙂 ), I have decided to leave Amdocs and take on a new challenge.
Starting mid-January, I will be joining Microsoft Specialist Team Unit (STU) as an Azure Cloud Solutions Architect! I am very excited about this opportunity and looking forward to get back in the field and talk to customers about Azure offerings around IaaS, PaaS and SaaS architectures. The world of public cloud is rapidly growing and this role will allow me to join the party.
I wish you all happy holidays and happy new year!
